Visiting the International Museum of World Wars: WHAT TO EXPECT

I visited the “Museo Internazionale delle Guerre Mondiali” (this is the actual Italian name of the museum!) for the first time just a few weeks ago, following the advice of my best friend. I didn’t expect what I found. I was looking for a museum that could show my customers some unique and hard-to-find memorabilia, something special. And I didn’t just find a very unique and extraordinary museum, but also made some very special and passionate new friends: Johnny and Filippo.

International Museum of World Wars

The International Museum: breaking of the Winter and the Gustav Line.

It is an unparalleled and unique historical collection that retraces the events of 1943 and 1944, right at the beginning of the conquest of Rome. The museum offers displays not only for adults but also for younger generations, presenting an accessible history that covers the period leading up to the conquest of Rome, including the breaking of the Winter and Gustav Lines.

The Museum of Rocchetta: 3000 sqm of exposition

Forty years of research and passion, along with ten years of hard work, have enabled this association of very brave people to create a unique collection: more than 3,000 square meters of exhibits, thousands upon thousands of memorabilia pieces, including many vehicles, tanks, cannons, and a plane — all combined in an original exhibition that is one of a kind in Southern Italy. Some of the memorabilia are truly unique! If you want to see a North American Aviation T-6 Texan, a Bofors 40 mm gun, or an M115 203 mm howitzer, just come and you’ll find them parked outside the museum — looking as small as a little car.

International Museum of World Wars: a unique Museum in Rocchetta al Volturno area

At the heart of the historic Italian battlefields, the Museo Internazionale delle Guerre Mondiali offers a unique perspective on one of the greatest moments in human history. The museum allows us to follow not only the Allied forces who took part in the battles but also the daily lives of Italian and German soldiers during the bloody conflicts that took place in this area. There are detailed reenactments of the major battle operations using uniforms, weapons, mannequins, and valuable memorabilia.
