On September 14, 1943 the German attacks started, but the Germans didn’t push so much further and the Allied resisted. On September the 16th the Americans and the British linked up. On 7 December 1943 the 45th Division had his headquarter in Venafro area, and was asked to size a mountain called 640

Only 15 days later , on January 10, 1944 the 45th Division was relieved of its position on the Winterline by French troops called Goums, coming from Morocco with the French troops. They retreat to a rest camp near Naples to relax for two weeks, and then they were ask to land again at Anzio
